I wanted to introduce myself to you. My name is Carlos Arriaga and I am the creator of Planet Sculpture. I have been creating art for as long as I can remember. When I was in Elementary school, in Queens, New York, I still recall my excitement of receiving a simple award for a pencil drawing I had done. I remember feeling so proud that I did have a talent and wanted to continue my passion for art.
Over the course of my life, I have never stopped finding new ways to express my creativity. From drawings, to painting, to web design, to 3-D art, I have learned many different media. In my recent adult life, I realized that I wanted to experiment with clay. I discovered a strong new interest in sculpting contemporary fantastic figures. From my first sculpture that melted in my kitchen oven, to understanding the difference in clay, I feel that I have found my favorite new means of creative expression! I love to create creatures, aliens or any beings that can only come from my imagination and nowhere else. This in itself drives me to create.
